# Create a single post

> Generate one on-brand Instagram post in about 30 seconds. Pick a brand, post type, and category, then brainstorm ideas or compose directly.

A single post is the fastest way to create Instagram content. Pick a few options and get a finished post, usually in about 30 seconds.

**Where:** sidebar → **IG Content** (Generate tab). **Cost:** based on the post. **Plans:** Growth and VIP.

## Generate a post

    This is the default tab on the IG Content page.

  <Step title="Pick a brand">
    Required. The brand's knowledge base gives the AI its context.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose a post type">
    Carousel, single image, story, or short video (a reel script).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose a category">
    For example educational, promotion, social proof, behind the scenes, or
    before & after.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add context (optional)">
    Add talking points, tone notes, or a specific angle. You can also set a
    scheduled date and time up front.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Brainstorm or compose">
    Click **Brainstorm ideas** to get several idea cards to choose from, then
    develop the one you like. Or compose directly to generate a finished post
    right away.

## After you generate

The post preview shows the caption, hashtags, and a visual. From there you can [edit it](/instagram/editing-posts), [schedule or publish it](/instagram/scheduling-and-publishing), or [send it to ClickUp](/instagram/send-to-clickup).

If you approve an idea, the visual takes 30 to 60 seconds to compose in the background. Raddivus shows a "Composing your visual" modal so you can keep working, and the bell icon plus a toast notify you the moment it is ready.

## Troubleshooting

    You must select a brand first.

    Add documents to the brand's [knowledge base](/brands/knowledge-base). A
    banner appears when the selected brand has no documents.

    Refresh the page to resume live updates. If it is still stuck after a few
    minutes, generate again.
